This week: Denver Mayoral candidates Michael Hancock and Doug Linkhart confound the political peanut gallery with their vote for city council pay hikes. Fallout in Pueblo over a proposed nuclear power plant in wake of Japan’s crisis. Alien-luvin’ Conspiracy theorists have found a link between DIA and…Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind?
Jared is way late to the hipster love-fest over roller derby, but gave the Denver Roller Dolls props anyway. Joel rings his hands over the New York Times’ new “pay fence.”
Your right about this being a very boring mayoral race. But one thing that I’ve been trying to follow is what are the various candidate’s positions on marijuana in Denver. As far as I can tell only one candidate is for complete legalization: Doug Linkhardt. I am not sure if any other candidates have given much of a position on this issue. Though I know Hancock said marijuana was a “gateway” drug and Mejia indicated he was supportive of medical marijuana.
But I think Denver’s pothead voters want to know who to support in the mayoral election and I think it’s Denver Diatribe’s duty to find out.
