We also weigh in on the ruckus that arose late last week after staff from the office of Congressman Doug Lamborn suggested a prominent and well-regarded environmental activist had submitted child pornography for testimony during a hearing. One HuffPo writer likens the image—of a young girl bathing in filthy tap water allegedly poisoned by mountaintop-removal mining—to that of “napalm girl.” Police didn’t charge the activist with any wrongdoing, and Lamborn remains unapologetic.
