100: The Love + Hate Fest 2012 Centennial Edition

This week, Vanessa, Ron and Josh celebrate the Centennial Episode of our lil’ podcast with clips from Love + Hate Fest 2012, our live event held at Illegal Pete’s in LoDo on October 23. A cadre of Denver comics, writers, and musicians took to the mic to share their love and hates, and many audience members recorded their own offstage.

In this episode, we curate some of our favorite jokes, music, and dramatic readings of Yelp reviews and Craigslist missed connections. We’ve got comedians Timmi Lasley (Ladyface), Kevin O’Brien (These Things Matter), Nathan Lund (Fine Gentelmen’s Club) and Adam Cayton-Holland (The Grawlix). Music from Chella Negro (also of Ladyface) and Chris Heckman (The Epilogues). We also have scribes Erica Grossman of Examiner.com and Ru Johnson of The Denver Post; the incomparable, description-defying Sid Pink of Mims Brothers; filmmaker Evan Nix; and, as promised, some love and hate from audience members.

Can’t think of a better way to have celebrated our 100th episode than with these folks, whose talents make us look like incapable hacks.

Thanks to our sponsors/partners Illegal Pete’s and Greater Than Collective, as well as Novo Coffee for donating “the world’s most expensive coffee” for one of the evening’s lucky prize winners.
